Water bottles are a convenient way to
stay hydrated, but some health experts have warned that repeatedly
pursing your lips around the top causes premature wrinkling.
Livingston, New Jersey-based cosmetic dermatologist Dr Mitchell Chasin told CBS 2 that the repetitive puckering motion 'will form these deep wrinkles in our lips'.
Dr Chasin treats women with this problem by using procedures like Botox, fillers and laser technology to eliminate wrinkles.

But he says the simplest and cheapest solution is to drink water out of something with a wider mouth, like a cup, instead.
Washington,
D.C.-based dermatologist Dr Marilyn Berzin says frequently drinking
from water bottles has the same effect as smoking cigarettes over a long
period of time.
Indeed, lines and wrinkles around the lips is a condition often referred to as 'smoker's lips'.
'When you're drinking from a
water bottle, you're pretty much making the same face as you are when
you're smoking a cigarette,' Dr Berzin told 9News.com in 2008.
She, too, has treated a bevy of patients with fillers and Botox to etch out the lines.
Dr Berzin claims wrinkles around the
mouth can form after just two years of regularly swigging from water
bottles - and those with a sports top are the worst.

Even sipping drinks from a straw aggravates unwanted lines.
Some women, like Joyce Neubeck, have turned to cosmetic procedures to eliminate their 'smoker's lips'.
'Over time, drinking from water bottles either causes these lines or aggravates them'
She told CBS 2 that now she thinks twice before sipping a water bottle.
But the possibility of a few added wrinkles hasn't stopped other water enthusiasts from abandoning their bottle-drinking habit.
Zumba instructor Bonnie Baldwin told CBS2: 'For me it's more important to drink the water.'
For
those who want to continue drinking from water bottles, Dr Chasin
recommends relaxing the upper lip while sipping to minimize the
puckering motion.
